Energy Conservation & Daylight Harvesting

The increasing trend of constructing commercial and residential buildings with large glass areas demands sizable amounts of cooling due to heat gain through windows.

Combining high performance solar control with high visible light transmission, IQue architectural films can reject as high as over 98% of infra-red rays responsible for heat build-up while letting in over 73% of visible light. 60% of the total solar energy is prevented from entering the interior, thereby reducing air-conditioning loads and achieving significant savings in energy bills. Visible clarity also means that daylight can be “harvested”, reducing artificial lighting requirements in buildings significantly.

Generation II

IQue has launched a Generation 2 film, which is the world’s first 10 multi-layer sputtered film. Over 10 years of extensive research and field experiments resulted in the birth of this technological brilliance which can reject 60% of solar energy, achieving a shading coefficient (SC) of 0.47 and yet allowing 58% of daylight to be transmitted through the glass windows. The lowest ever visible light reflectivity for windows of 7% maintains the aesthetic of natural transparency of glass. What can be more ideal than this?

High Safety Level

Today, glass is increasingly present in our architecture environment. However, when glass is put on our windows, doors and skylight, the possible injury and damage from glass breaking in the event of an accident or natural disaster is not anticipated nor is we protected from it.

More injuries are caused by flying shards of broken glass than the natural disaster. In addition, majority of home break-ins have been through glass windows or doors which shatter at a tap.

High Protection Level

IQue Safety & Security films are easily applied onto any existing glass surface to hold broken glass shards in the event of breakage. Specially formulated, super-aggressive cross-linked adhesives bond the glass and film together. It holds broken glass in place greatly reducing the likelihood of glass being propelled at high speeds into interior areas.

Favorable results from the Bomb Blast Mitigation Test have demonstrated the effectiveness of IQue Safety & Security films in mitigating glass fragment hazards when subjected to blast loads. Our films have met the stringent US General Services Administration (GSA) testing requirements, equating to a high level of protection provided by our Safety & Security films.
